Did you know? The Oklahoma City Community Foundation offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors across the state of Oklahoma - not just Oklahoma City!
Take a look at the map below to discover the potential number of scholarships available to students graduating from high school in each county.

Encourage your students to visit OCCF.org/Scholarships for detailed application instructions, and remind your students to submit their applications for these statewide scholarship opportunities by the deadlines listed below. 

The Gary M. Moore Great Plan Scholarship will award one scholarship to an Oklahoma student who plans to pursue a major within the Oklahoma City University College of Arts and Sciences.  
Award Amount: $20,000
Deadline: Feb. 1, 2018


The Bennett Family Scholarship will award one scholarship to an Oklahoma student who is a child of a single parent.  Applicants must intend to pursue studies in the field of education, science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics.  
Award Amount: $2,000
Deadline: Feb. 15, 2018


The Orner-Cook Scholarship will award scholarships to Oklahoma high school graduating seniors. The scholarship may be used for educational-related expenses such as tuition, fees and books at any accredited two-year, four-year or vocational/technical nonprofit institution. 
Award Amount: $1,500
Deadline: Feb. 15, 2018


The H. W. Almen/West OKC Rotary Scholarship awards approximately 20 scholarships to Oklahoma high school graduating seniors. The scholarship may be used at a college, community college or technology center. 
Award Amount: $4,000
Deadline: Mar. 1, 2018



The Carolyn Watson Opportunities Scholarship will award up to 10 scholarships to Oklahoma students who are graduating from high schools in rural counties of Oklahoma.  
Award Amount: $10,000
Deadline: Mar. 1, 2018
The Hutchinson Scholarship is available to western Oklahoma and southern Kansas high school seniors. 
Award Amount: $2,000
Deadline: Mar. 1, 2018

New! The Robyn's Way Scholarship is available to Oklahoma high school seniors who have been impacted by cancer. 
Award Amount: $2,000
Deadline: Mar. 1, 2018
  
New! The 95th Division Scholarship is
available to high school graduating seniors who are descendants of a member of one of various components of the 95th Division.
Award Amount: $2,000
Deadline: Mar. 15, 2018

Dr. Eugene S. Briggs Memorial Scholarship - Lions of Oklahoma awards scholarships to Oklahoma high school graduating seniors and can be used at any college or technology center in Oklahoma. 
Award Amount: $2,000 - $3,000
Deadline: Mar. 15, 2018

The Pete & Lela Stavros Scholarship awards scholarships to Oklahoma high school graduating seniors who are children and relatives of members of the Oklahoma State Firefighters Association (active or retired).
Award Amount: $1,000
Deadline: Apr. 1, 2018


Ironworkers Local 584 Harvey A. Swift Scholarship awards scholarships to high school seniors who are descendants or family members of living and deceased members of Iron Workers Local 584. 
Award Amount: $2,000
Deadline: May 1, 2018

The Oklahoma Goodwill Industries Abilities Scholarship will award one scholarship to an Oklahoma high school graduating senior who is defined as disabled by the Americans with Disabilities Act. 
Award Amount: $1,000
Deadline: June 1, 2018


The Oklahoma Youth with Promise Scholarship awards scholarships to students under age 25 who were in the Oklahoma DHS custody foster care system, or have aged out, at the time of graduation from an Oklahoma high school or at the time of obtaining a GED. 
Award Amount: $3,000
Deadline: June 15, 2018
Reminder: Don't forget the Importance of a Strong Letter of RecommendationCounselors, we can't stress enough how critical a strong letter of recommendation is to any scholarship and/or college application!  A compelling letter can truly help an applicant stand out in the selection process as it gives the reviewer a deeper understanding of the applicant's character, accomplishments and potential to succeed.
